New War Anthem?

Just saw a commercial today on television with the lead singer of Green Day saying something like, "anything successful is built on a series of mistakes." Could it be that we've stumbled on what could be used as the basis for a new series of talking points regarding the War in Iraq?

On-line Travel Writing

Just wanted to share an on-line travel magazine that covers all facets of travel. The site also will take submissions with the enticement that their site has a broad reach (they aren't able to pay).

One current listing on their site that caught my eye was a review of Karin Muller's "Japanland: A Year in Search of Wa." I think I'll have to check it out.

About the Name of Our Blog

The name of our blog comes from a Japanese children's song about a turtle. Here's the first verse:

Moshi moshi Kame yo,
Kame-san yo.
Sekai no uchi de,
Omae hodo,
Ayumi no noroi,
Mono wa nai.
Doshite Sonnani,
Noroinoka?

Hello Turtle,
Mr. Turtle.
In all the world,
there is none,
who walks as slow.
Why are you so slow?
